“Be the best that
you can be.” Its a challenge to live up to this motto, but USGTF
member Kevin Maginn strives to achieve it.
Kevin, from
Ogdensburg, New York, is the general manager and director of
golf at Partridge Run Golf & Country Club in the Village of
Canton, New York. He is a Level IV Master Teaching Professional.
As with many
USGTF members, Kevin came to golf from a varied background
He previously was a schoolteacher, and still owns Chick’s
Pizzeria. After receiving his USGTF certification, he taught at
a driving range. Along the way, he earned designation as a Class
A Clubfitter from the Professional Clubmakers Society. He is
also a PGA member who happens to strongly value his USGTF
membership, calling his decision to join the USGTF, “the best
thing I’ve ever done in my life.”
“I teach in the
mornings and give 7-10 lessons per week,” added Kevin. “In 2000,
I started a junior program that meets every Wednesday in the
summer.”
“Be the best you
can be every day” may be his motto, but from all appearances,
it’s also a way of life for Kevin Maginn.
